Two months ago, Xiaomi’s subbrand Redmi officially unveiled the Redmi Note 12 series smartphones in China. The Redmi Note 12 series is comprised of Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Explorer edition. And now Redmi added one more smartphone to the Note 12 lineup called Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.
In terms of specifications, only the Camera and chipset specs are different compared to the non-speed variant, apart from that rest of the specifications same as the Note 12 Pro variant. The Note 12 Pro Speed Edition has a little bit different design, the camera modules moved slightly to the upper side, and the Redmi branding which was present at the bottom earlier now shifted alongside the camera module.
The latest addition to the Note 12 series lineup- the Redmi Note 12 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor based on 6nm architecture paired with Adreno GPU and features a 108MP primary camera joined by an 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP macro sensor. In the non-speed variant- the Note 12 Pro, you get the 50MP triple rear camera setup and Dimensity 1080 chipset. The smartphone runs on Android 13 based on MIUI 14 out of the box.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Editon sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ 10-bit OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging and also it has fast charging protocols support like QC3+, PD 2.0, and PD 3.0. Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and USB type C for charging and data transfer.
Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed comes in three variant options- the base 6GB/128GB variant costs ¥1,699/$245, the 8GB/256GB variant is priced at ¥1,799/$260, and the 12GB/256GB model costs ¥1,999/$285. The smartphone comes in three-color options- Shimmer Green, Time Blue, and Midnight Black. The Redmi Note 12 Pro is available for sale via Redmi’s Chinese website.

How many software updates and security are going to provide by Redmi for this Note 12 Series. Does it supports Navic GPS and does it have Dual Dolby Digital surround system ?
Not sure but we can expect 2 years of os and security patch updates for the Note 12 series and it has dual stereo speakers with Dolby atmos
