Asus ROG Ally Gaming Handheld Price Leaked Ahead of Launch

On the 1st of April, Asus posted a teaser of its very first PC gaming handheld under the ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand– the ROG Ally. But everyone thought it was an April Fool’s Joke, later the brand confirmed that the ROG Ally company’s first gaming console is real.

Many people still can’t able to believe on this and yes the brand says that this PC gaming handheld is a rival to the Steam Deck. Even Asus claims that the ROG Ally will offer 2x more performance compared to the Steam Deck.

Asus hasn’t revealed many details of the ROG Ally, but the firm confirmed that it will launch the ROG Ally on May 11 globally. Asus also showcases some key features, a couple of pictures, and a teaser video of the gaming console.

Ahead of the launch, the pricing of the ROG Ally top-end variant has been leaked. According to tipster SnoppyTech, the ROG Ally top-end variant with AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD will cost $699.99.

Talking about specs, The ROG Ally handheld device runs on Windows 11 out of the box which means all the cloud-based gaming services will work (including Xbox and Steam cloud gaming) on the ROG Ally.

In terms of performance, Asus says that the ROG Ally PC gaming console is powered by a custom AMD APU chip based on a 4nm architecture paired with a ROG X6 mobile eGPU. It has a 1080p resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate support.
