Earlier, Lenovo-owned smartphone brand Motorola launched the Motorola Edge 40 series in the global markets, and now the brand has officially unveiled the Moto Edge 40 smartphone in the Indian markets. Motorola announced two new color options for the Edge 40- the Viva Magenta and Eclipse Black.
Motorola Edge 40 series is comprised of Moto Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro both smartphones are available globally but for the Indian markets, Motorola is bringing only a vanilla variant- Edge 40. The Moto Edge 40 will come as a successor to the Moto Edge 30 launched last year in India.
The Moto Edge 40 is priced at ₹29,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The smartphone is now available for sale via Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and other retailers.

Motorola flaunts key features of the smartphone although the smartphone will follow the same specifications as the global variants. Speaking about the specifications, the Moto Edge 40 has a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED panel with a maximum 144Hz refresh rate, up to 1200 nits of peak brightness, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support.
Under the hood, Moto Edge 40 is the world’s first smartphone to come with MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor paired with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It packs 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS3.1 internal storage. The device runs on Android 13 OS out of the box.

The smartphone houses a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. The Edge 40 features a dual camera setup- a 50MP primary camera with OIS support paired with a 13MP ultrawide + macro shooter. It has a 32MP front camera for video chats and selfies.
