Chinese brand ZTE officially unveiled Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition smartphone. The Space Edition smartphone gets a more enhanced look and tougher build as compared to the Ultra model. Also, the Aerospace Edition model rear camera module design changed. The rear camera module slightly blends with the back.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition is inspired by the light and shadow of time travel, says ZTE. The smartphone is designed with unique futuristic technological elements. The smartphone has just 2 to 3 changes, apart from that it is almost the same as the standard model. And one more noticeable thing is, the smartphone comes in only two variant options. If you look back at the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra lineup, Company offers at least four variants.
Talking about the design, ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition sports a 6.8-inch AMOLED flexible curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.07 billion colors support. The back panel of the smartphone is made of HT Xuanjing ceramic material which has an ultra-high hardness of sapphire level. The rear panel is forged using an integrated nano-casting molding technique.
For photography, the smartphone features a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP main camera joined by 64MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP periscope lens. The camera is very efficient enough to record 8k videos at 30fps. The device has a 16MP under-display camera for capturing stunning selfies and video chats. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Under the hood, Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor paired with up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. It’s a special edition, users get a completely customized UI, notifications sound effects, alarms and incoming calls tones, Packaging, and much more. The smartphone has a dedicated Security chip developed by ZTE. According to the company, the security chip has received three major international security and privacy certifications.
ZTE AXON 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition comes in two variant options- the 12GB/512GB model costs ¥5,898 (₹67,000/$825) while the top 18GB/1TB model is priced at ¥7,698 (₹88,000/$1,035). The device is already up for pre-order in China and will go for sale on December 6.
