Google has officially unveiled a new member of the Pixel 7 series- Google Pixel 7a at the Google I/O 2023 event. Google Pixel 7a is a successor to the Pixel 6a launched last year in India. Pixel 7a brings major upgrades and notable improvements over its predecessor, in terms of processor, display quality, battery, and camera department.
Talking about pricing, the Google Pixel 7a starts at ₹43,999 same price tag as the Pixel 6a was at launch last year. The smartphone retails at $500 in the US markets and €510 in the European markets. The latest 7a smartphone gets a straight $50 bump in the pricing compared to pixel 6a pricing which was launched at $450.
Google Pixel 7a is now available via Flipkart in India and it comes in three beautiful color options- Sea, Snow, and Charcoal.
In terms of specifications, Google offers great features in the Pixel 7a, and the main thing is without increasing the price of the phone. Google Pixel 7a flaunts a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate which is up from 60Hz. The smartphone has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Google offers an IP67 water and dust resistance rating for Pixel 7a. The phone’s back is made up of plastic and a metal frame. While announcing the phone, we used recycled, Glass, Plastic, and Aluminum to build the Pixel 7a smartphone, said Google.
Under the hood, the Pixel 7a smartphone is powered by Google’s in-house Tensor G2 chipset with a Titan M2 security chip. It packs up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device runs on Android 13 OS out of the box.
Another major upgrade is, Google packs great camera specs for the Pixel 7a, it features a dual rear camera setup at the back- a 64MP primary camera with Super Res zoom of up to 8x paired with a 13MP ultrawide shooter with 120° FOV and dual pixel autofocus support. The smartphone captures really great pictures nearly in every environmental condition. For selfies and video chats, the smartphone has a 13MP front camera which can record 4K at 30FPS.
Google Pixel 7a is backed by a 4385mAh battery with 20W fast charging tech and one of the notable improvements is, the phone now supports wireless charging up to 18W.
